If our mining industries are to survive into the future we need to be able to extract more material in a shorter time without causing harm to the environment. I believe we should look into vertical mining technologies and when we find coal, iron ore or any other material that we need for industry that we should dig straight down.I propose using vertical laser molecular Mining technologies to do this. Here is how I perceive my concept to work. We dig six holes one on each point of a Pentagon and one in the center then we thrust into the whole long poles which will have high energy molecular laser technologies and the technology will be lowered inside of a pipe made of a special material and the laser will be blasted through the material to the center and the energy will be captured and reflected and sent back out loosening up all the dirt or rock. The rock will then be excavated using large industrial earth vacuums. This same technique could be done using a hexagon or octagon vertical column. In fact once it was experimented with we could choose various methods. The perimeter around the 5, 6, or eight poles on the outside would shoot out molecular realignment lasers to strengthen the walls, so when you pulled out the dirt the vertical tunnel would not collapse.Once you excavated all the dirt and took out the material you wanted you could fill will hold back in with the remaining dirt. As the dirt settled you could put more dirt on it later. This way you will have mined the material you wish without hurting the environment and filling back the whole when you are done.
