It would be cool if each time we gathered together as His body something significant would happen. Something significant probably does happen each time we get together but what about if something visible and very real happened? A miracle? A God-word? A physical healing? A financial need met? Minds healed and brought to clarity? Emotions stabilized and turned towards Him? Hearts melted and lives given to God?Bitterness dropped on the altar and burned to ashes. Unethical business dealings revealed to our minds and hearts and direction given to make them right on Monday. Judgments picked out of our thoughts and replaced with grace and mercy towards the one we just judged.That would literally be a cool place to be; a place of rest and healing in the midst of God's people.We have often heard the scripture 'where two or more are gathered He is there' yet, if we are honest, rarely do we see Him THERE, in the middle of us. Often we feel Him a bit in worship, hear Him a bit in the message, and sense Him somewhat in the fellowship but what about Him being THERE; yes, right there in the middle of us; doing only what He can do? Bringing peace like only He can bring. Touching lives like only He can touch.I would like to see such a healing place. A place not solely defined by the music or the preaching or the fellowship, but a place where people can say God is THERE. THERE is where we will be implanted with an imperishable seed that will grow and manifest within us His kingdom right before our eyes.
