Many, many successful people have struggled with a fear of success. Sometimes the fear has to do with a prior experience, especially if it is an experience where someone with power and authority over you has said negative things about your future.A recent mentee of mine was afraid to take the next step in article writing and internet marketing success. An old professor had told her she could not write and she would never amount to anything. Here she was, on the edge of success, and someone's stupid words were hanging her up. This kind of thing really makes me boiling mad.So I told her two things:1. Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is feeling the fear and doing what you need to do anyway.2. Once we get you going on this path to success, let's call up Professor Stupid, invite him to lunch, and the two of you can compare tax returns.Always, always, remember that courage is not the absence of fear.
