Do You Have a Chip on Your Shoulder? Congratulations!

Author : Vincent Harris
When you were a child, you no doubt heard the phrase, "He's got a chip on his shoulder!" This usually had a negative connotation, referencing "His" arrogant and combative attitude. What would you think if I told you should literally jump for joy at the discovery of a chip on your shoulder?I recently read a fantastic little eBook, by Dr. Joe Rubino entitled, "The Self-Esteem Book" I can't recommend this book enough! Anyway, in one particular chapter, Dr. Rubino introduces a funny looking little character named, you guessed it, "Chip." Chip is introduced as the representative of our negative self-talk, and we are told that he spends all of his time riding on our shoulder, spewing non-sense in our ear. Furthermore, until the day we come to understand that "Chip" is not "us" we mistake his non-sense as junk that comes from ourselves. Believe me when I tell you that the concept of "Chip" has the ability to literally change lives. When you begin to perceive the negative self chatter, as something that comes from outside of you, from a freaky looking entity that wants to make you feel terrible, you make massive and immediate shifts.Thinking that Dr, Rubino's concept was brilliant, I asked myself, "how could I make this even better, and use it in conjunction with hypnosis while I work with my clients?" If you take a moment to really think about it, when we are truly connected to what I call our "true essence", we oftentimes feel warmth or certain sensations of pleasure in our chest. In fact, if you just take your awareness the area around your heart right now, you'll notice a sudden shift in your breathing, and a nice, easy, and pleasant feeling. Did you feel it? Why is this important?Noticing that the internal garbage is not really you, makes a huge difference, just by itself. However, when you then immediately shift your awareness to the location of your "true essence" the effect is amplified to immeasurable degrees. After guiding clients into an adequate trance state, I assist them in the process of making these shifts of awareness, and thus a shift in states of mind and body, by strategically using "Chip" and the "True Essence" zone.I urge you to seek out this wonderful book by Dr. Joe Rubino, and then, take it a step further, and access your very best…..your "True Essence" I think you'll find this as useful as I have described above, and I'd love to hear your comments.Vincent W.
